![]() She attended many local games, and was an avid Red Sox fan. She enjoyed being a life member of the Ocean View Grange, and the Maine State Grange, and, during World War II, she volunteered as a civilian airplane spotter to keep watch for enemy planes entering American air space.Įdna also loved baseball. During the last 5 years of her life, she lived at the Knox Center, where she received excellent care.Įdna was known for having a fun filled, mischievous side to her, and loved to joke and banter with everyone she encountered.Ī homemaker all her life, Edna was an excellent cook and baker, and was well known throughout the community for her cinnamon rolls and peanut butter fudge. Later in her life, she moved to Thomaston where she lived with, and was cared for, by her daughter Cynthia Landre. Carter and together they made their home in Tenants Harbor where they raised their six children.
